Larval Settlement Tanks
Larval Settlement Tanks are used to induce larval settlement as oysters undergo a metamorphosis at the end of the larval period when they change from swimming larvae to attached to a form of substrate. Once attached, they are referred to as spat and they lose their ability to swim or to move away from conditions unsuitable for their growth and survival.
Larval Settlement Tanks are manufactured using food-grade, UV stabilised polyethene and is designed for the containment of liquids up to a specific gravity of 2.0. Designed specifically for indoor applications the tank is ideal for with metal stands are optional extras. Bespoke aquaculture fish rearing tanks and broodstock conditioning tanks can be customised for UK’s aquaculture industry include round and square tanks, open top and closed top.
These plastic tanks are traditionally used for Koi tanks, Fish Tanks, Fish Ponds and Fish holding/quarantine Tanks, however, these have many other applications including;
