Round Brine Tanks – Brine is a solution of salt and water and generally refers to Sodium Chloride (NaCl) and water(H2O). It is widely used in industry and via electrolysis will produce a number of chemicals including Chlorine (Cl), Hydrogen (H)and Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH). Sodium Hydroxide is used in the food industry, the manufacture of paper and also the water and wastewater sectors.

Chlorine is widely used in the plastics industry and for purifying and disinfection.  In company with Hydrogen, Chlorine is also a major component in the manufacture of Hydrochloric Acid (HCl). As simple water and salt solution Brine is an effective Refrigeration Fluid due to the fact that the salt in the water lowers the freezing temperature of the solution and allows it to transport thermal energy. It is commonly used as a de-icing fluid on public roads by local authorities.

Our Round Brine Tanks are available with Salt Grid, Mesh, Brine Well and Overflow, in sizes available 100 – 1500 litres. These storage tanks are suitable with pellet or granular salt with the salt grid mounted at the bottom of the brine tank.

Colour Options

Tanks in colour options other than black, such as blue, natural, and dark green, are considered as bespoke items and are non-refundable.  Similarly, non-standard outlets are also non-refundable.
