Bunded Liquid Fertiliser Tanks

Bunded tanks are the perfect choice for the safe storage of liquid fertiliser on the farm. Designed for the containment of liquids up to a Specific Gravity of 1.5 and with pollution control in mind.  Enduramaxx double skinned bunded tanks or ‘tank within a tank’ are manufactured from corrosion resistant, UV stabilised high-density food grade polyethylene. The integral bund allows for total containment, allowing ‘over the top’ discharge meaning no low-level fittings in the tank wall or a requirement for a separate reinforced concrete bund.

Available from 2,500L to 10,000L – bunded tanks contain a minimum 110% volume of the inner tank.

Bunded Liquid Fertiliser Tank Features:

  • Double skinned – for secondary containment
  • Secure plastic lid
  • Thick plastic walls
  • Mushroom vent
  • Manufactured from UV stabilised polypropylene
  • Plastic tanks do not rust or corrode, are impact resistant and long-lasting
  • Guaranteed one-piece tank construction ensures long term structural strength
  • Outlets, pipework and flange can be customised to suit your project.

Why Choose Liquid Fertiliser?

There are a number of reasons why more and more farmers are choosing liquid fertiliser.

  • Improved performance – liquid fertiliser moves quickly through the soil profile resulting in more product nutrient availability to crops, especially in dry conditions.
  • Better use of capital – reduced storage, handling and additional handling equipment, switching to liquid fertiliser can have a great impact on your working capital.
  • Reduced labour – handling and application of liquid fertiliser is often a simple, one-man operation.
  • Accurate and even application – targeted sprayer application allows for 100% field coverage, right up to field margins.
  • Environmental footprint
    • Nitrogen losses are lower and functionality is higher
    • Liquid fert can be combined with other products and applied in one-pass. Savings time, fuel and labour costs as well as emissions
    • No plastic waste – Reusable storage tanks vastly reduces plastic waste

Storing liquid fertiliser?

Typically, plastic tanks have various properties that make them an inexpensive and safe way to use as liquid fertiliser storage tanks.

Fertiliser tanks are often required to be bunded and these can be either a reinforced concrete bund or a bunded fertiliser tank. The AIC has prepared a series of codes of practice for the storage of liquid fertilisers. They can be accessed here.
