Liquid & Dry Polymers & Chemicals
Polymers are classed as liquid & dry polymers are frequently specified in wastewater treatment to purify and treat dirty water and are used for clarification, thickening or dewatering applications.
In wastewater treatment processes, polymers attract all fine particles suspended in a liquid to form larger groups leaving behind clear water. They do this by suspending solids and producing large fractions of solid materials through a process called flocculation.
Grouping the solids together like this allows for the removal and easier treatment of the wastewater. Polymer Make-up units are used in conjunction with other equipment to separate the solids from the liquid, including conical settlement tanks and 3 stage mixing tanks.
