Enduramaxx What is Process Water

What is Process Water?

Process water is generally defined as the water used in industry, manufacturing processes, power generation and similar applications.  Examples of process water is are found in pharmaceutical & cosmetics industries, food & beverage industries – where purification for production of food and drink as well as contaminant removal systems for the wastewater produced.  Chemical industries for cooling tower systems, makeup water and blowdown treatment systems which is like the automotive industry where significant demand for process water for production and cleaning.

Bespoke Process Water Tanks

Enduramaxx manufactures a range of Bespoke Process Tanks which are available from 150 litres to 40,000 litres.  These tanks are available black as standard with a range of other colours available including blue, natural, dark green and grey.

WRAS Approved Process Tanks

Our process water tanks are WRAS approved for drinking water contact.  These are fitted with a screw-on lid, flat areas for inlet and overflow positions round the top of the tank and a low-level outlet.  Other associated fittings such as Byelaw 30 kits, valves, float valves and pipe connectors are available.  Call us today on 01778 301528 to discuss how we can help choose the right tank for your needs.

What is Process Water Treatment?

In the chemical and automotive industries, huge amounts of water are used so treating water for reuse can lead to substantial savings in water and effluent costs for companies.  Technologies used in process water often includes mechanical and biological filtration, ion exchange, accelerated settlement, flocculation, pH control as well as chemical dosing and disinfection of the water.

Flocculants and coagulants often used in process water treatment to obtain an easily filterable precipitate off from water or effluent streams.  These flocs clump together to and are easier to separate and removed by dewatering, sedimentation, or clarification.

Chemical Dosing & Flocculation Mixer Tanks

Enduramaxx manufactures a range of chemical dosing tanks with tank bunds which are used in the storage of dosing chemicals, disinfection, and boiler treatment chemicals storage.

Flocculation 3 stage tanks are available in which Conventional coagulation, flocculation or sedimentation practices are essential pre-treatments for a range of water purification systems.  Flash mixing in water process treatment consists of rapid mixing by adding chemicals to raw water to foster coagulation of particles which do not settle.  The flash mixer and flocculator attracted by using the coagulants such as ferric chloride (FeCl3)PAC (poly aluminium chloride to make these particles easy to agglomerate during the flocculation stage.
