Sludge Tanks for Abattoir & Slaughterhouse Water Treatment
Sludge tanks for abattoir & slaughterhouse water treatment, slaughterhouse’s produce a lot of wastewater in the process of treatment in the form of effluents, diluted blood, fats, proteins, pathogens, and potential of pharmaceuticals from veterinary applications and as a result this wastewater generally contains high organic and nutrient concentrations which can be highly contaminating if treated incorrectly.
These substances create incredibly high BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) and COD (chemical oxygen demand) levels. If left untreated this will create incredibly harmful effects on aquatic life and those who come into contact with the untreated water.
Sludge Tanks for Abattoir & Slaughterhouse Wastewater
Sludge Dewatering Tanks are used for various mainly in the water treatment industry. In the main sludge, tanks are used for the following applications.
Sludge Thickening
Sludge Treatment
Sludge Dewatering
Sludge treatment general required to reduce the amount of wastewater in biological wastewater treatment. Sludge generally has fewer solids in it than it looks like, a typical DAF plant sludge will be approximately 5% solid-or 95% water equating to 19 tonnes of water and 1 tonne of solids from a 20-tonne load of sludge. By increasing the solids into highly concentrated sludge, a high level of cost savings of disposal of the sewage sludge product.
In this process, there are stages of treatment which would generally include the preliminary treatment of wastewater in which separation of solids and large particles from the liquid portion with screens, sieves, and strainer, coagulation-flocculation and sedimentation in which the colloidal particles in the wastewater are grouped into larger particles called flocs using chemicals, moving onto dissolved air flotation or DAF technology to remove fats and greases along with light solids and biological & anaerobic treatment to remove of the remaining soluble organic compounds through anaerobic, aerobic, filters and activated sludge tanks.
As well as chemical tanks we manufacture a range of other products in the wastewater treatment plant
