Which type of Horizontal Water Tank do I need?
Theres are several Horizontal Water Tank Types and these are generally used where a vertical water storage tank would be too tall. These tanks are used to harvest rainwater from buildings with low roofs, sheds with low gutter heights or inside buildings for use as header tanks for drinking water. This WRAS approved MDPE water storage tanks are designed for various uses as follows.
- Horizontal Water Tanks – for static use
- Horizontal Transport Tanks – for clean and dirty water transport
- Sprayer Tanks – for water and fertiliser transport for farmers
- Baffled Horizontal Tanks – for window cleaners, car valets etc
Horizontal Water Tanks – for static use
These horizontal tanks are used for static uses from 500 litres to 5000 litres and fitted as standard with a lid and BSP outlet.
Our horizontal tanks are suitable for use as potable drinking tanks as they are WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved in black, boat blue or natural. In some instances these water tanks will need to be Fluid Category 5 Compliant, for which we have options available here.

Horizontal Transport Tanks – for water transport
Horizontal water tanks are designed for liquid transport and storage 400 litres to 13,000 litres. Our baffled water tanks help utilise space effectively on your vehicle as they are able to be mounted behind the headboard of your vehicles or mounted on a flat surface. These truck water tanks are used on vehicles such as toilet cleaning truck, waste tankers, window-cleaning, and water delivery vehicles. Our lightweight plastic water tank is robust, easy to install and won’t rust with a range of bsp outlets and camlock connectors for each application.
How Do I Mount a Horizontal Transport Tank?
These horizontal tanks are manufactured from UV stabilized polyethene giving heavy-duty tanks without a weight penalty. The legs have moulded pin mounting system which enables the horizontal tanks to mount on flat surfaces without additional support.

Sprayer Tanks – for water and fertiliser transport for farmers
Sprayer Tanks are designed to help reduce time spent filling your agricultural sprayers. These tanks provide convenient water storage for crop spraying and general agricultural use. Popular sizes include 5000l, 6000l, 10000l, 12000l, 15000l, 20000l, 22000l, 25000l and 30000 litres – there’s a water tank to suit your sprayer. Rotational moulded and UV stabilised for strength and outdoor storage these tanks can be used for rainwater harvesting. Outlet & Camlock Options
We can supply these tanks with a number of sprayer connection options, these include male and female camlock fittings, hose, valves and inlet valves. These quick connection fittings make connecting the sprayer to the tap quick for filling and emptying.
Baffled Horizontal Tanks – for window cleaners, car valets etc
Baffled tanks are ideal for water transportation as the baffling is provided by the baffled which go through the tanks. The baffles stop the water sloshing from side to side during transport of the tank. Baffled tanks are ideal for car valeters and window cleaners and many other applications.
